What is Crema?

Crema is a design & technology consultancy that helps organizations evaluate product potential, reduce risk, and build digital products that increase value. Based in Kansas City with team members across the U.S., we've been working at the intersection of product strategy, design, and engineering since 2009.

What are Crema's three main service pillars?

Crema's work falls into three areas: Strategy, Experience, and Practice. Product strategy focuses teams on decisions that strengthen their advantage in the market. Product experience is designing and building technology that amplifies an organization's capability. Product practice strengthens the foundations of a product organization to work at the highest level possible. Most engagements touch more than one pillar.

Do we work with organizations that already have internal product or technology teams?

Almost always! Crema fits and flexes alongside existing teams, though we don't view our offering as staff augmentation. We're not a replacement for internal capability, instead we're an accelerant. Our role is to bring outside perspective, specialist depth, and proven process to the moments where internal teams are stretched, uncertain, or building something genuinely new. We're often complimented on how well we play with others.

What does it mean that all work is delivered as client IP?

Every design, codebase, and system Crema builds belongs entirely to the client — not to Crema. There are no licensing fees, no lock-in, no proprietary platforms you're dependent on after an engagement ends. What we build, you own. That's always been how we operate.
