As of July 2026, Crema is proud to announce membership with HumanCulture.ai. The membership gives our team access to the Human-AI Index™, a proprietary diagnostic that measures how AI is being adopted, experienced, and understood across a workforce. In addition, we are given access to HumanCulture Workshops™, leadership alignment tools, and a community of organizations committed to the same vision.
What the Human-AI Index measures
Most organizations measure AI with usage metrics: seats purchased, prompts sent, hours logged. Those numbers say almost nothing about whether people trust the tools, understand them, or feel their contribution still matters. The Human-AI Index moves beyond usage metrics to measure adoption, culture, capability, and organizational readiness, giving leaders the insight they need to make better decisions about how AI takes root in their organization.
As HumanCulture puts it, the human side of AI is the part most organizations aren't measuring.
How this strengthens the client experience
We like to say 'we're in the business of people, we just happen to build technology.' Every engagement Crema takes on, whether product strategy, design, development, runs through a small team whose refined judgment is the greatest value-add. AI expands what those teams can accomplish, but the trust and expertise that give the work direction still come from people.
The Index gives us instrumentation for that. By measuring how our own team adopts and experiences AI, we can spot where a workflow is eroding craft, where a tool is adding friction, and where capability needs investment before it ever surfaces as a quality problem in client work. Trust is consistency over time, and consistency is far easier to hold when you measure it. Our clients report feeling the result: teams whose AI practice is examined, deliberate, and accountable.
Fulfilling our AI perspective
Our AI perspective commits us to pragmatism! We test AI against real problems and judge it by what it improves. We built the SPARK framework to decide where to experiment. We set the expectation that every Crema team member validates AI-assisted workflows and shares what they learn. And we promised to own the outcomes, with final review always human led, because AI-enabled tools are never responsible for what we deliver. That ultimately falls on us.
This AI perspective set expectations for how we'd work with AI. What we struggled to assess was whether it was working for our people. Were they adopting the tools, trusting them, and building real capability? The Human-AI Index gives us a way to measure that instead of assuming it.
What's next
We'll establish our baseline with the Index, put the findings in front of the whole team, and share what we learn here on the blog, including the uncomfortable parts. You can read Crema's brand story on HumanCulture's member page. And if you're weighing how AI should fit into your own product organization, we'd love to talk.
